Local Power invites you to our special event celebrating 250 households with solar panels thanks to the participants in Buying Group #1 and #2.

Place: 69 Thomas Street, West End
Date: Saturday 9th May 2009
Time: 12.15pm

The event will include a few stories from our members, the launch of our book about the beginnings of Local Power (which will be available for sale) and a celebratory cake.  And a chance for buying group members to show off their electricity bills :-). 

If you haven't installed solar panels yet, this is a great opportunity to ask people first hand about their experiences.  For refreshments, there will be a sausage sizzle, cold drinks, and fair trade coffee for sale at the venue.

The event is also part of a larger celebration on the day as the Community House Centre at 69 Thomas Street opens its sustainability and inclusive upgrades, and celebrates the achievements of community groups and small enterprises involved at the House Centre in the areas of social inclusion, community economics and sustainability.
